Kassandra Morrison

Kassandra Morrison

began her yoga practice in 1996 with Iyengar yoga and has since studied Okido, Kundalini, Flow, Ashtanga, Kriya, and Yin yoga. She is a certified Shioki Yoga therapist and has been teaching yoga since 2002. Her teachings are a fusion of the various styles and systems of yoga she has studied. Her classes combine dynamic exercises for joint health and immunity with static poses for strength and flexibility. In addition to yoga, Kassandra spends a lot of time in meditation and has been fortunate enough to participate in three separate long term meditation retreats. She was initiated as Swami Kripananda in the Bhairava lineage of Rishikesh.
Sanaz Busink

Sanaz Busink

completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training at Semperviva Yoga College in Vancouver, BC. Her teaching style focuses on the mental, emotional and spiritual side of yoga rather than just the physical side. She has studied with Seane Corn, Sianna Sherman, Eoin Finn, Mara Branscomb, Madhuri Phillips, Baba Ram Dev as well as Sama Fabian, Cameron Gilley, Sara Manwing Jones, Christina Selda, Kristin Campbell, Josee Fontaine. Her classes consist of guided meditation, breathing exercises, and gentle yoga movements with longer holds all while sharing eastern philosophy, Indian mythology, poetry and stories from around the world.
Shauna Sprules

Shauna Sprules

Shauna (she/her) shares Prenatal, Postnatal, Family and Hatha Yoga at Purple Lotus. She discovered yoga as a young teen though her own mother and has continued to embrace yoga and mindfulness practices and learn from a variety of amazing teachers over the past 30 years. Her path to teaching began in 2002 after completing 200 hr certification under the teachings of Baba Hari Dass at the Saltspring Centre of Yoga and 500 hr training with Mugs McConnell of the SOYA in 2004. Shauna has specialized certification in prenatal, postnatal, restorative and woman's and children's yoga and is trained as a birth doula. Her accessible and sensitive approach to practice is defined by both Trauma Informed and Pain Care Aware certifications. Shauna is always inspired by the power of pregnancy, birth and new parenthood and though yoga helps bring strength, confidence, awareness and calm to women, caregivers and families. The cycles of nature and wisdom of yoga inspire Shauna daily in the practice of life, which includes roaming the local hills in all seasons, digging in the dirt, creative handwork of all sorts and the constant inspiration of four home-schooled children.
