Ayurveda means ‘life knowledge’ and is a wisdom-rich sister science to yoga that provides an abundance of beautiful knowledge and tools to support living a balanced and healthy lifestyle beyond formal practice on one’s mat. In this interactive and educational Ayurvedic Module, Shambhavi Hughes will guide students in exploring in depth the 5 elements of nature that make up who we are, and how each element expresses itself in our mental, emotional and physical bodies. Throughout the Module there will be a large emphasis on practical application of how one can help to harmonize each element when it is out of balance, whether the element is presenting itself mentally, emotionally or physically. This Module is 2 half days of plenty of fun, learning, discussion, partner work, activities, and personal reflection. Come join us to empower yourself in learning how to further to strive towards your own unique, constitutional version of radiant health and well-being!

The pre-req. for this module is Shambhavi’s Intro to Ayurveda Workshop. If students have not already done this, there are other options in order to attend. Please contact the studio for more info at 250-328-4426.

Shambhavi Hughes is very passionate about practicing and teaching both the yogic and Ayurvedic sciences! She has her B. Ed, has been teaching holistic yoga for 11 years and is also an Ayurvedic Bodywork Practitioner (primarily trained under the amazing Ian Hayward!). Shambhavi feels blessed to share ayurvedic wisdom, treatments and tools to support and empower people in living a more balanced lifestyle to optimize their health and well-being. This Ayurvedic Module is the first foundational Module of a 4 Module Series that Shambhavi offers.
